FILM FESTIVAL AT THE MUSEUM

On Saturday, September 27, our museum will come alive with a festival atmosphere, as this year it becomes part of the SPORTFILM FESTIVAL for the first time. The new space will offer visitors an authentic connection between motoring history and film art and will become the center of a rich program.
A full-day marathon of documentary and feature films with a motoring theme awaits you, as well as inspiring discussions with exceptional guests led by drivers Tomáš Eng and Štěpán Vojtěch and presenter legend Martin Straka . The atmosphere of the day will also be enhanced by the ceremonial opening of the On the Road exhibition by the Houdkov brothers, which will introduce visitors to motoring from the perspective of fine art.

An accompanying outdoor sports program is also prepared in cooperation with Sporty TV, which will offer entertainment and activities for the whole family.
The Automoto Museum Lučany will thus become not only a new venue for festival events, but also a space where motoring passion and filmmaking will combine into a unique experience.

10:00–11:00 Film screening – DAKAR SISTAZ
Twins Aliyyah and Yasmeen Koloc compete in a motorsport where women are rare, and together they prepare for the 2023 Dakar Rally. After Yasmeen's serious accident, their team strength is put to the test - can they join forces again and stand by each other?

Meeting with the legends of motorsport will offer viewers personal stories, racing experiences and a behind-the-scenes look at their riding careers.

12:00–12:30 Opening of the exhibition – ON THE ROAD
Prominent contemporary artists Filip and Lukáš Houdek present an unconventional dialogue between art and technology in this exhibition – between the beauty of the road and the power of the machine. “On the Road” is not just a tribute to motoring, but also a deeper reflection on movement, the traces we leave behind, and the energies that propel us forward.

12:00–12:30 Film screening ROAD TO RALLY
Seventeen-year-old racing driver Thomas Martens is on a quest to become World Rally Champion. His journey is shaped not only by his determination but also by the support of those around him.

12:30–13:00 Film screening DRIFT TRAJECTORY
A documentary look at a specific motor sport from the perspective of professional drifters, semi-professional racers and illegal drivers who drift in normal traffic.

13:00–14:37 Film screening   RIVALS: SPEED ACADEMY
Max has speed, passion and courage, and thanks to a former champion, she gets the chance to enter the prestigious Formula 1 academy. However, her path to the title is complicated by a meeting with the charismatic Will, where passion quickly turns into rivalry.

16:00–17:45 Film screening   EARLY APEX  
The film follows young kart racers Mateusz and Zosia as they not only compete, but also develop their passions, manage pressure and strengthen family bonds. Early Apex shows the importance of parental support, the joy of sport and breaking down gender stereotypes in motorsport.

17:45–18:40 Film screening   ENZO FERRARI: THE RED AND THE BLACK
The film charts the life of racing legend Enzo Ferrari, from his dreams as a little boy to an iconic career of both success and tragedy. Through archives and his voice, it reveals the man behind the legend.

18:50–19:30 Talk M. STRAKA (book, etc.)
Motor racing legend among journalists Martin Straka will be presenting his talk show as part of the festival program. Visitors can look forward to engaging stories from the world of motorsport, personal insights and behind-the-scenes stories that he has collected during his long career. The talk will also include a presentation of his book and a space for questions from the audience.

19:30–21:00 Screening of the film WILLIAMS AND MANSELL: RED 5
The documentary follows the career of Nigel Mansell and the development of the Williams F1 team from its founding to their fight to win the Formula 1 World Championship. The story shows how the driver and the team came together to face the best competitors of their time.
